2015 Season Officially Underway!
Catalina Solo and Relay Success
Hank Wise and Orange County (CA) teens
Congratulations to Hank Wise, who made another spectacular crossing of the Catalina Channel. A couple of years ago, Hank was a member of a record-setting relay. A few years before that, Hank completed a solo crossing. It must be noted, the final times of Hank’s two solo swims are 8 hours and 7 minutes, plus change. Nice consistency. Age is not slowing Hank down!
The Channel Champs, a relay of teens from Orange County (CA), made quick work of the Channel, finishing in just under 10 hours. Congratulations to team captain Katherine Walde and relay members (pictured).
The CCSF will regularly update successful crossings on Facebook.
However, the certified final times and updated records is posted at the CCSF website once the entire swim season is concluded. Generally, around the first of November.
