RECOMMENDED CAPTAINS AND BOATS

The first step to arrange a Catalina crossing is to schedule a date with an escort vessel. Three recommended captains are docked at The 22nd Street Landing in San Pedro. They operate independently of the CCSF, though we have a close relationship based on their decades of experience.

The CCSF works closely with these boat captains. They operate independently of the CCSF and determine their own schedule and charges.

SWIMMERS

Swimmers– who are traveling a great distance– can request assistance in recruiting support members and kayakers. There is no guarantee that any person in the pool of volunteers will be available on your particular date. This service does not relieve the swimmer of their responsibility to bring a complete support team.

LOCAL VOLUNTEERS

Volunteer kayakers and support members register HERE to enter the recruiting pool.
